Mission Guyana, Linden.

Linden, an inland mining town, with approximate population of 27,277 (2012) where residents deal with occupational health issues, respiratory concerns, and fewer medical facilities.

We chose Guyana because, despite progress in recent years, many families continue to struggle with limited access to quality healthcare. Chronic illnesses such as hypertension and diabetes remain widespread, while preventable conditions like untreated dental disease, arthritis-related mobility issues, and infectious diseases continue to impact everyday life. Maternal and child health concerns also remain pressing, especially in rural and interior regions where medical infrastructure is scarce.
